I. The Rooftop Installation of Solar Panels What is the most valuable, most widely used and easiest resource to conserve? Energy. Energy in all its forms is what makes our community go. As more and more energy is consumed, scientists worry about its natural depletion, energy companies are able to significantly increase its cost and unknown amounts of damage may be caused to our environment. For example, consider the impact of electricity generation when you turn on the lights or plug something in. Does the impact simply occur at the power plant? No. If you use fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas to generate electricity, you may be contributing to air pollution and creating greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change. This is in addition to the ever increasing costs of electricity and the burden it places on our community as well as our environment.
