Project Earth is an effort sponsored and established by Ecology and Environment, Inc. (www.ene.com) to create an international environmental network that connects people around the world to solve environmental problems. Ecology and Environment, Inc.’s hope is to foster global conversations and interest on environmental topics among tomorrow’s leaders to address the immediate need to find solutions to the increasing global environmental problems.
Project Earth’s international, interactive approach makes this project unique by offering an avenue for concerned citizens, young and old, to propose solutions for the good of the environment. By sharing ideas across borders and cultures, Project Earth offers opportunities for mutual learning and understanding by:
Empowering individuals with a tool to present innovative hands-on projects; Sharing project resources, ideas and solutions with other members to help solve similar environmental issues in other parts of the world; and Integrating and incorporating environmental sustainability education and action into individual lifestyles, thereby reducing negative impacts on our local ecosystems.
