Since our inception in 1970, E & E has always considered our environmental performance as a primary organizational priority and have taken steps to assess and improve the environmental performance of our offices and operations. In 1987, the site of our corporate headquarters was selected for its proximity to a variety of upland and wetland habitats, and in 1988, the entire property was designated as a "Wildlife Protection Area". Today, the operation of our facility continues to mitigate its impact on the surround physical environment and every year we strive to improve on the founders vision. Relative to the baseline year 1999, E &E achieved an 80% reduction in annual emissions resulting from energy use in 2008. That same year, the USGBC awarded the LEED-EB Platinum rating for E & E's headquarters and with tools like GreenMeter we will continue to build on our past success.

Two thumbs up! I love working for E & E. I'm really lucky to have found a company that makes me feel so good about my contribution in the working world. Any time I feel stressed, I think about all the amazing things E & E does for the world, for the planet, and it all melts away. It's really incredible to walk down the halls and see a bunch of amazing wildlife grazing at the feeders: turkeys, deer, beautiful birds-- not to mention all of the plants and trees growing down the halls. It's amazing. When I interviewed, I think I was most impressed by the plants inside, it helps make my work environment that much more relaxing, and in a high-stress deadline driven department, that's key in keeping calm. I wish there were more companies like E & E, who truly care about making a difference.
