Students at Pavilion did a month long energy use assessment in Pavilion's high school building. They looked at all electrical usage in the building. The students determined areas in which the school was doing a good job and ways we could conserve or be more efficient. The students then planned an Energy fair to introduce students, staff, and community members to all of the ways we use energy. The students highlighted some alternative options to traditional electricity production and vehicle fuels by gathering and displaying information on a local Wind Park and GM's Hydrogen Fuel Cell car. The students had displays of ways we use energy, trivia on energy use and Ideas to conserve, The team also handed out kits donated from a local energy provider that included flow redistricting shower heads, insulation for outlets, and caulking. The students purchased over thirty compact fluorescent light bulbs to give as prizes too. In addition to this project our school utilizes Photovoltaics Array on the roof and a wind turbine as teaching tools and additional alternative energy sources. the school also recycles paper and glass and plastic bottles. We would like to start composting teh kitchen waste and hope to start a school garden.

Nice presentation and effort! Way to teach students and get them involved with energy use!
